Algarve - Luxury

Algarve is Portugal’s southernmost region. Quaint fishing villages, glistening beaches, shimmering lakes, and even fairy-tale-like castles make Algarve a four-season vacation spot that is sure to please.

There is no need to leave any amount of luxury behind when visiting Algarve. Its west coast, including Faro, Albuferia, and Lagos, is brimming with luxury. Come to be pampered by the pools, health clubs, and spas, lie of the beach for hours soaking up the good-mannered Portuguese sun, or shop until you drop in the regions many delightful shops. Faro is a party-town known for its' annual July motorcycle rally. Motorcyclists from every part of the world travel to Faro to show off their bikes at this Portuguese party. Albuferia and Lagos are sportsmen’s towns. Tennis, golf, waterskiing, sailing, fishing, windsurfing, horsebackriding, and many other outdoor actives will the delight even the most diligent athlete.

If you are visiting Algarve specifically for the golf, Quinta do Lago is home to the largest golfing area in Europe. Two of its courses are listed as being in the top twenty-five courses in Europe.

If you’re visiting for the water, try Sagres. The fishing draws in thousands of tourists in every winter and spring. You can surf in Sagres as well, and if you’ve never learned, simply hire a knowledgeable instructor for a reasonable fee.

The Algarve coast can be broken down into two main parts; to the west it is wild with statuesque rock formations. To the east, with Faro being the dividing line, the land is sandy, cut in by small winding rivers.

Of course, most meals in Algarve contain fish, fresher nowhere in the world. The food Algarve is known for, however, is its sweet things your craving?  Enjoy some figs and honey after a long day of adventure.

Visit Algarve in the summer or the winter months. The weather is mild about eleven months out of the year. Algarve offers choice, and this holds true when finding a place to stay. Luxurious homes, or quaint villas, can be found, and there is no luxury that cannot be obtained for a small fee.
