The Clube De Golf Santo Da Serra is one of the biggest golf courses available in Madeira. It a 72 par, 27 holes course with a yardage of approximately 9850 metres. This is a world class championship course has been ranked 87th in Europe by Golf World magazine. It has also hosted the Madeira Island Open which is part of the PGA European Tour yearly since 1993 and was designed by Robert Trent Jones.

The Palheiro Golf course is renowned for its fairways, greens and the spectacular mature trees that surround the greens. It is a worthy challenge for all handicap levels. 'Golf Monthly” chose the course as one of the most beautiful places in the world to play golf. Palheiro Golf is situated 7 kilometres east of Funchal which is the capital of Madeira. There are magnificent views overlooking the town and bay and is set in the estate and parkland of the Quinta do Palheiro. It has a total of 18 holes and 72 pars. A great place for any avid golfer to play.
